Summer Highlights

We have had a really great summer, and I wanted (my kids and me) to remember all the fun stuff we've got to do. Now that Roxie is getting older, I feel like my life is getting a little less crazy and I can actually post something once a year or so...
Jaren's sister Kristin, her husband Matthew, and their kids came to visit in May. We had so much fun with them, and that made us wish they lived closer.

My sister Sarah, surprised me by coming in July to our family reunion. It was the best surprise ever!! Carson and Cooper loved every minute of it and we were so sad to see them go. Hopefully someday they will live closer.

Coral, Abbi, and Carli had a great time at the Lambert reunion!

It was a lot of fun to see Coral play soccer this spring. She was so stylin in her pink shin guards.

Jaren and I got to take a small weekend trip to Boise for our 10 year anniversary! I can't believe we've been married that long, we had a fabulous time. Thanks mom and dad for taking the kiddos.

Thanks to Julianne and Rick for the awesome tickets to go see Yo Gabba Gabba, we had a fabulous time and especially loved meeting the characters.

We went to the pioneer day parade in Oakley, Idaho with my family, and Carson jumped over this creek really well- it was so funny to watch... especially when he fell in!

The next week my neice Abbigail came and stayed with us for a few days, it was awesome!

Then, my big boy turned 3!! Happy Birthday to Carson- my birthday wish for you is to be potty trained.

This alligator cake turned out well, it was also pretty tasty :)

We went to Yellowstone in June w/the Jarrards, it was so much fun! Jaren and I got our goatees from ...

This- we are in the middle of that puddle. Roxie was starving and had to eat right when I got back inside- that was challenging. :)

Roxie is growing soo fast, and starting to smile, she's so beautiful!

My sister Sarah came out from Kentucky at the end of May. Her son Cooper and Carson are best friends/worst enemies. They played, hugged, scratched, pushed, bit and pinched each other, yet Carson misses Cooper when he's not around! Funny little boys! In this picture, Cooper is trying to figure out how to take the zuzu pet away from Carson.

So, I'm super unfancy when it comes to making cakes for birthdays, but was excited about how well these pink flower cupcakes turned out ( I made marshmallow flowers for the tops). It's all about how they taste anyway. They were GOOD!

For Coral's 6th birthday, we let her have a "princess tea party" It was so cute to see all the little girls dressed like princesses. They had a "ball!"

I have no Idea why I suddenly decided to post after 7 months of nothing, but here's some recent photos of the kids... This was taken on the Polar Express Train in Dec. Thanks for inviting us Sarah! We had so much fun. I would definitely recommend doing this if you ever get the chance. Coral still talks to her friends about the time she went to the North Pole!

My cute kids in their Sunday Stuff, this was taken after church... i usually don't load them up on sugar right before. Nobody hold their breath for a new post anytime soon:) Maybe after the baby.

This was Coral's viewpoint of the trip from her lunch! She took some really great shots. The whole gang at delicate arch.. from the tallest to the smallest. :)

We did a hike that ended up at this beautiful waterfall, it was super fun! You can tell Coral is excited!

Forgive us for our foolish enthusiasm... we tried to hike delicate arch starting at 9:30 at night. In our group there was one 6 year old, three 5 year olds, one 3 year old, two 2 year olds, one 1 year old, and one baby! That was not a good combination for a midnight hike, so this picture was taken right before we headed back.

Kentucky Cont...

Carson's first major league game. It was actually sold out, bummer. But we did have a fun time in Cincinnati.

Churchill downs on the Fourth of July, Carson and Coop loved looking at all the horses. It rained pretty hard the whole time, so we only stayed for one race. The boys looking out over the Ohio river at all the boats. In this picture Carson is saying Boooaat!

The boys taking a ride on the stone elephant at the zoo. They were so cute together. After we got home, Carson kept saying Coop gone? I think he misses his cousin. We had so much fun, thanks for having us Sarah and Nate!!

Kentucky

So, at the end of June, I was able to visit my sister, Sarah in Kentucky. Carson and I flew out and had a great time. I posted the pictures backward, so here they are. This is Carson and Cooper taking a little ride in Nate's truck. They both got shotgun. Neither wanted to get out ever.

The Louisville slugger museum with the gigantic bat. The boys loved it, but they loved their miniature bats even better. It looks like I'm about to be batted, luckily I put him down before that happened.
Carson was in complete awe staring at all the bats and balls- soo amazing!

Summer Stuff

Okay, so a few things have happened since I last posted in April. Sometimes I get so busy living life that I forget to document it. Look for my June/July posts in September! Here is Coral happily opening her birthday gifts. Thanks to Aunt Judy for letting us crash her pool and backyard for Coral's 5th B-day. Also thanks to Grandpa J and Grandma G, Talia, and Abbigail for coming so far for the festivities. It was so fun!

Coral went bowling with her preschool class last week. It was so funny to watch her and the other kids bowl. She actually bowled a 92! With bumpers of course..At one point I looked up to see how fast her ball was going because I didn't think it would make it all the way- 2.5 mph! I love this!!

Here's some random pictures from the past month... Coral discovered she likes pop- but only Henry Weinharts- she's her daddy's girl! I know this picture looks crazy, that's why it's on here.

I picked oranges from Jaren's parent's orange tree in CA. It is such a pretty tree. The oranges were soo tasty.

My sweet Mother in Law, Joyce passed away at her home in California last Sunday night. I was looking through some recent pictures and wanted to post them as a reminder of the fun, sweet person she always was. I'm not sure of what else to say, so this post is for you Joyce! I love you.

Coral drew a picture this morning and said, "I want this to be on the internet." I don't think I ever said that when I was a kid! So here we go... She said it's a princess, it appears to be a princess with some sort of bird on her head, the poor prince looks like he slept in a cactus.

Jaren's mom made scrapbooks of all the kids' lives for them for Christmas, they were all amazing.

My grandpa and I showing off our winter caps. He likes hats! Uncle Nate, Carson and cousin Cooper. They had it in for each other, so it was best to have someone in the middle at all times!

Aunt Sarah made Coral a paper doll of herself for Christmas. I thought it was so cute!

The other day Carson woke up from his nap while I was in the shower. I think he was trying to climb up the wall using the chair rail border. When I came in, the border was on the ground with the nails poking out, and Carson's legs were sticking out of the crib slats. CRAZY KID!!
